This is the Government’s plan with the Banks, which will make it possible for all layers of society to be included in this scheme gradually.

The Minister of Finance Delina Ibrahimaj said that they are working on having as little cash as possible in the economy, as well as having every service on the e-Albania portal paid through the banking system.

The use of money in electronic form is a good way to combat informality, but on the other hand, the lack of tools and education requires additional time and costs towards making a complete switch to this new system of payments.
