The Minister of Agriculture in North Macedonia Ljupcho Nikolovksi announced on Wednesday to have signed an agreement with his Bulgarian counterpart Ivan Ivanov to secure additional wheat imports.
In a status shared on Facebook, Nikolovski said the two countries are building good neighborly relations to alleviate the burden of the current ongoing crisis.
The two ministers are now attending a meeting in line with the Berlin Process over Agricultural Policies between Germany and the Western Balkans.
The meeting is hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agricultural and the Permanent Working Group on Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe.
The Berlin Process was initiated by several EU member states, steered by Germany, to engage the six Western Balkan countries to promote regional cooperation and the European perspective of the region.
