The flu has already passed the epidemic threshold. The numbers of people infected with seasonal viruses and flu have decreased for the second week in a row.

According to the official data of the Institute of Public Health, in the last week, 15,478 people with concerns related to the flu were seen at the doctor.

This figure is significantly lower than two weeks ago, where the highest level of infections was recorded with 17,602 people who sought medical help.

Experts claim that the infection curve is falling.

The infected are spread throughout Albania. The highest incidence of infections is observed in Tirana, Mat and Gramsh.

As for age, it is observed that most belong to the age group of 1-4 years.

In the last week, it is noticed that there has been an increase in cases of children affected by measles.

For the first two months of the year, 31 cases were identified, the incidence of the disease in the country is 1.1 cases/100,000 inhabitants. The cases belong to the age range of 0-38 years. The highest number belongs to the age group of 5-9 years with 35.5% of the total confirmed cases.

The highest incidence is in the age group of 2-4 years with 1.3 cases/100,000 inhabitants.

Of the 31 confirmed cases, 19 were hospitalized and 12 stayed at home.
