Mayors of northern Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubina Potok and Zvecan, say that they perceive the visit of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, to Mitrovica “as a provocation aimed at Serbian people”.
In a press release, they said that in the North of Kosovo, no one knows Osmani as their president.
“We perceive the announcement of Vjosa Osmani’s visit as a provocation against the Serbian people and another form of pressure on our citizens, especially in light of the anti-Serb actions and anti-Serb statements that Osmaniyeva made in the past.
In North Kosovo and Metohija, no one perceives Vjosa Osmani as their president, not us and not even our citizens, and as long as it stays like that, there is nothing to beg for in North Kosovo,” the announcement states.
