The Organizational Secretary of the Freedom Party, Endrit Braimllari, said that the news that circulated in the press regarding the fact that the head of this political force, Ilir Meta, has been banned from participating in the Congress of European Socialist Parties, is sponsored and untrue.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Braimllari said that the Freedom Party has not applied to participate in this Congress.
“There was communication through Facebook that this is fake news, it is not real, it’s fake. It was sent to an address that does not exist and one that is not used by Monika Kryemadhi.
It is sponsored news; there was no request from the Freedom Party to participate in this meeting. We were never aware of such a meeting, so we were surprised and stunned by the way the news has spread around in the press”, he emphasized.
The Freedom Party highlighted that the e-mail that is claimed to have been received as a response from the European party, “was not sent to the Freedom Party address, but to the address [email protected], to the email of Ralf Gjoni and a fake address of Monika Kryemadhi, which does not exist: [email protected]”.
