On Tuesday, the Serbian Parliament held a session to elect the members of the new government.
The nominee for forming the new Government of Serbia, Gjuro Macut, told Serbian lawmakers that institutions must function at full capacity.
He announced continued support for Serbs living in Kosovo, as well as maintaining continuity in Serbia’s foreign policy orientation.
“One of the biggest challenges the new government will face is preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia in Kosovo,” said the candidate for Prime Minister, stressing that the preservation of our southern province within Serbia is a constitutional obligation and a commitment from which no government should or will deviate.
