The government of Kosovo is preparing to denounce Serbia for genocide committed during the Kosovo War, declared Prime Minister Albin Kurti as he unveiled the government’s program.
“We’re convinced that Serbia has committed genocide during the last war in Kosovo and this deserves a lawsuit. The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is getting prepared as an obligation to our common history, to our citizens whose wounds are still open”, he said.
PM Kurti said that the “preparations are of enormous proportions” because the country cannot afford to lose the case.
In regards to dialogue with Serbia, Kurti said that the government is currently working for the upcoming dialogue, expected to resume in June, adding that he will cooperate with the opposition.
