PM Kurti meets with Kasanof in Pristina

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Alexander Kasanof.

Kasanof was accompanied during the meeting by the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier.

Kurti welcomed Kasanof on his first visit to the country and thanked the USA for cooperation in the field of economy, energy, security and beyond. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the democratic, economic and social progress that the country has seen during this governing mandate.

Prime Minister Kurti also mentioned the necessity of regional cooperation in anticipation of the Berlin Process summit next Monday.

Speaking about bilateral relations, Kurti addressed the possibilities of cooperation with the new emissary Alexander Kasanof as well as our European partners after the elections held and the new commissioners. He added the importance of Kosovo’s membership in international organizations and bilateral cooperation with the USA in this regard.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, accompanied the Prime Minister of Kosovo during the meeting.
