The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Prime Minister Emilja Rexhepi, started the visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina with tributes at the Memorial of the Children Killed during the Siege of Sarajevo.

He laid fresh flowers in memory of the 1,601 children killed by Serbian forces during the 1992-1996 siege of Sarajevo.

During his visit to Sarajevo, he held separate meetings at the Presidency of Bosnia with the Croatian member, Zhelko Komšić, and the Bosnian member, Denis Beqirović.

“I thank the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, for the decision to lift the visa regime for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We appreciate such an extraordinary unilateral and, therefore, unusual step. This action will certainly contribute to the better connection of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, as well as to the increase of mutual commercial exchanges”, wrote Komšič on Facebook after the meeting with Kurti.
