Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with representatives of the state administration to discuss a project for its energization and professionalization.

During his speech, Rama said that the public administration is our vanguard of the battle for EU membership and for the implementation of the vision.

Rama also said that this irreplaceable army must necessarily enter a new phase of energization and professionalism, to significantly increase Albania’s performance, strengthening good governance, legal order and anti-corruption.

The head of the government compared the public administration to the Albanian national team, where each member carries a mission, just like football players.

“I did not believe that our administration would be able to produce such a large national team, because the points on which the process should pass are endless and it would whiten our page with superlatives in Brussels. I didn’t believe it and I shared it in a low voice with some of my colleagues, that this could be our moment of extraordinary peace, because we could appear with weaknesses that could not be hidden in Brussels

I too have fallen prey to some of the general perception that the administration is a body of parasitic people, a body of people who take salaries and do nothing, etc. Apparently, I was also influenced by this perception.

The process of deep radiography of Albania through 777 presentations, ended quickly and with so much surprise in Brussels for the performance of our national team, it is the greatest certainty that today we have all the reasons to believe that Albania can rely on this administration, can reach the objective of membership faster than the countries of the region, in the first place thanks to this administration. I ask you all to see yourself as the players of the national team.

Despite the fact that this team does not all dress the same, each of you carries today, precisely because you are part of this team, the same mission that every player of our national team carries. But if our national team wins a game and makes all of Albania smile for one evening, this national team will win the future of Albania and this is a fact,” said Rama.
