The Kosovo Police, with its dedication and commitment to providing security to all its citizens without distinction, has proven that it has been and remains one of the most reliable institutions in the Republic of Kosovo and an important partner for regional security and beyond.

This is what the general director of the police, Gazmend Hoxha, said this Friday, during a press conference held in the north of Mitrovica, from where the police work and activities were presented.

The Kosovo Police is doing its best to guarantee security for all citizens without distinction with its capacities”, said Hoxha.

Answering the question of northern journalists when the resigned Serbian policemen will return to work, Hoxha clarified that the situation created around the ethnic structure of the police in the north is not the fault of the police, but of the resignations of the colleagues who had political pressure.

Statistics about the total number of policemen and their ethnic percentage throughout the territory of Kosovo were also presented during the conference.
