A new airline will start operating from Kosovo, connecting the youngest European country to Poland.
The first flight to Warsaw departed this Monday from the International Airport of Prishtina “Adem Jashari”, reported KosovaPress.
Kosovo and Poland government representatives hailed the launch of the new route as “crucial for strengthening economic and political bilateral ties”.

Polish State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Szymon Szynkowski noted that the new route will also enable better cultural communication between the two peoples.
He also added that Poland will continue to support Kosovo’s European integration path.
“This is an important step for Polish Airlines, but also for Kosovo-Poland relations in regards to the broader Balkan region. It is not only a consistent step of the company, which aims to strengthen the European market, but it also shows Poland’s commitment in the region and beyond”, said Szynkowski.
“In 2008, we were among the first countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence, today we continue to endorse your European aspirations and also the consolidation of Kosovo on a regional level”.
