The Socialist Party believes that it will be able to form a new government alone after the April 25 elections. These were the words used by Prime Minister Edi Rama during an interview with journalist Neritan Sejamini on “In a Few Words” on Euronews Albania.

“Let’s be realistic. We have in front of us a conglomerate of forces and parties that come together under one oath: Removing Edi Rama. It is very simple. I do not see any other path apart from reaching a necessary majority to govern and continue doing the things we do, many of which were decelerated by the earthquake and the pandemic and building up many others on the foundations that we have laid so far”, he said.

PM Rama also said that he does not see any intermediate forces in the elections because believes that all parties “have joined forces to oust the Socialist government”.

“It is a theoretical hypothesis and it appears unrealistic and unworthy of a discussion because I will repeat that we’re in front of a conglomerate established with the opportunism of being altogether to remove Edi Rama and the Socialists from the government”, he said.
