“Preliminary election results will be published the next morning of election-day,” was the decision of the Regulatory Commission.
The results will be announced around 8:00 on April 26.
According to this decision, which was unanimously approved by the CEC, vote counting officials must complete the process no later than 13 hours after the voting process is closed.
In previous elections the counting process has often been blocked and delayed and it has taken a long time for results to be announced, however election commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, stressed that results are expected to be announced within 72 hours after the closure of the voting process.
