President of Kosovo: Our army will soon be part of NATO peacekeeping missions

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci said on the 21st anniversary of the demilitarization and transformation of the Kosovo Liberation Army into the Kosovo Protection Corps, that the army was the path to the freedom and independence of Kosovo.

“Kosovo gained freedom 21 years ago. The first day of freedom marks the day when the political and social transformation of our country began. In agreement with our allies and NATO, the demilitarization and transformation of the Kosovo Liberation Army into the Kosovo Protection Corps began…in 2008 we established the Kosovo Security Force. At the end of 2018, we established the Kosovo Army,” Thaci notes.

Head of State claims that the Kosovo army will soon be part of NATO peacekeeping missions around the world.

“We are proud of the Kosovo army, which will soon be part of NATO peacekeeping missions, throughout the world,” he adds.
