Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani declared that she will not allow turning the dialogue with Serbia into one which discusses the country’s status and its constitutional order.

In her annual speech at the Parliament of Kosovo, Osmani said that the only outcome from the dialogue is mutual recognition.

According to the Kosovar President, Serbia is not playing a constructive role in the dialogue and has “obvious irredentist claims” towards Kosovo, while accusing it of non-compliance to a majority of agreements reached in Brussels.

“Serbia has clear territorial claims on Kosovo and it doesn’t even try to hide that in its rhetoric or actions. By serving as a launchpad of Russian interests in the region, Serbia aims to destabilize the countries in the region, including here Kosovo by using past century logic ”, emphasized Osmani.

She also declared that “Kosovo remains the most important and successful of American foreign policy”.

Osmani referred to 2021 as a “challenging year” for public health and the economy and honored those who succumbed to the virus.
