The case of President Meta’s impeachment started against him by the Socialist-led government, has now been passed on to the Constitutional Court for re-examination, announced the Court in an official statement.

All that remains now is for the judicial body to agree on a date, when the first preliminary hearing will take place, during which president Meta will appear before the court on charges of serious violations to the Constitution – adopted by the Socialist ruling party back in June 2021.

Socialists have accused the president of favouring the opposition during the campaign and electoral process held on April 25, by using derogatory terms to describe the ruling party, while acting like a ‘leader of opposition parties’.

More to come…
