The Albanian economy is expected to close the year with a 7 to 8 % rise.

Both international institutions and the Bank of Albania have made similar estimations when it comes to economic growth as we approach the end of the year.

Post-pandemic recovery encouraged supply and demand in all sectors of the economy, as our country invested in reconstruction to recover from damages left behind by the 2019 earthquake.

The government changed the state budget several times to include the emission of an additional €650-million-euro Eurobond.

Through this Eurobond, the public debt reached € 11.4 billion euros or a whopping 80% of the national GDP.

This year we witnessed another period of price hikes, including the price of oil and basic food items, all the way to real estate and other related services.

In addition, the government decided to declare a national state of emergency due to the energy crisis, issues in local production and the 5-fold price hike in the global stock exchange.
