About 100 citizens, led by the National Patrol organization, gathered today on the Serbian side of the Jarinje administrative crossing with Kosovo.
A few tens of meters away from the crossing, they were stopped by a Serbian police cordon, which did not allow them to pass.
At one point the crowd clashed with the police, but no other incidents were reported.
Among those gathered, some people carried the flags of Serbia and Russia, as well as banners with the inscription “No surrender”, and banners “Pray to God and stay in Russia”.
Today is the ninth day since barricades were set up in the north of the country, where the Serbs living in the area have placed heavy machinery and trucks as a sign of revolt for the arrest of the former policeman, Dejan Pantic.
The barricades located in Rudar and Svecan have blocked the passage to the two border points that connect Kosovo with Serbia.
