Starting from today, all public works and employees of grocery stores and large malls, will be required to show their vaccination certificates when entering their places of work.

The decision of the Committee of Experts was made back in December and it directs all those who haven’t gotten a vaccine, to provide proof of a negative test each week.

Meanwhile, those who have recovered from a COVID infection lately can show their recovery certificate which is issued by a health professional.

As Omicron cases are on the rise, the Committee also declared that as of January 3, no foreign citizens will be allowed to enter Albania if they’ve been in South Africa, Kenya, Angola, Zambia, Botswana or Senegal in the last 2 weeks.

According to a decision of the Committee, Albanians who have travelled to these countries during this timeframe will be forced to self-isolate for at least 14 days.
