Prime Minister Edi Rama announced through a video on Facebook that the draft law on the National Development Bank has been finalized. According to him, this is a highly convincing project that will soon be submitted for public consultation.

“The bank will be managed by an Italian super team and closely assisted by our partners at Casa Depositi e Prestiti to ensure its independent, professional, and successful governance,” said the prime minister.

He also stated that the Bank of Albania has approved a new financing line of €250 million for small and medium-sized enterprises, with a primary focus on agriculture.

“The Bank of Albania has just approved a new financing line for small and medium-sized enterprises, with a primary focus on agriculture, amounting to €250 million. We have decided to support this new financing line from the government with a sovereign guarantee. This is the largest volume of support provided in soft loans for agro-processing, greenhouses, agritourism, technology, and more,” Prime Minister Rama emphasized.
