The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, says that Prime Minister Edi Rama does not have enough votes to pass the fiscal amnesty law in Parliament.
In a statement to the press from DP’s headquarters, Berisha said that the amnesty has nothing to do with the money of Albanian immigrants, but rather it is lobbying for the crime world.
“That MPs who vote for Edi Rama’s fiscal amnesty vote for crime and only crime. Rama does not have the votes for amnesty and is entirely lobbying for the crime world. It has nothing to do with immigration. No connection whatsoever.
Immigrants invest the money they have in their country or bring it to Albania; they have no difficulty in bringing them here. This is only about the drug cartels with which he is connected and which are coming to light one by one by the day. So he cannot pass this amnesty bill” Berisha claimed.
