Prime Minister and Socialist Party chairman Edi Rama declared today that the vote count on May 11 will bring “the most beautiful victory” for the Socialist Party.
He made these comments during the closing rally of the election campaign in Lushnjë, part of the May 11 elections under the theme “Toward the Finish Line for Albania 2030 in the European Union.”
At the beginning of his speech, Rama remembered the late MP Bashkim Fino, emphasizing that he would have been happy to witness the positive developments in Lushnjë.
“I really wish someone who would surely be smiling right now were here with us—Lushnjë’s MP, Bashkim Fino, whom I remembered while walking among the people,” said Rama.
He stressed that PS supporters will make possible an important victory in the May 11 vote count and thanked all those who will vote—including those abroad who are sending in their ballots.
In his remarks, Rama highlighted the transformations achieved in Lushnjë and Divjakë, emphasizing that the Socialist Party has consistently won and made significant investments. He noted that victory is not an end in itself, but a tool to achieve common goals for development and territorial transformation.
“Thanks to the work we’ve done, and also thanks to your support and the overwhelming majority in this region, we have achieved a major transformation in agriculture, increasing both production and agricultural exports,” said Rama.
He also pointed to completed investments, such as the construction of new schools and improved healthcare infrastructure in the region. Rama stressed that while much has been done, there is still work ahead in developing infrastructure and creating further opportunities for the growth of the food industry.
