During a joint conference in Brussels with Macedonian PM Dimitar Kovacevski and his Serbian homolog, Alexandar Vucic, PM Edi Rama said that he feels bad that he has to be in Europe as a friend, instead of a member of the greater European family.

“Let me express my deep pity for the European Union and I hope we can be able to help them. I tried to say a few things during the meeting and I want to share some of them with you because I don’t want to take as much time as the meeting. I said I felt both good and bad. I felt good because we are European and I want us to be amongst Europeans,” – said Rama.

In addition, the head of government underlined that in regards to the issue of Albania’s and North Macedonia’s negotiations, Bulgaria isn’t the only reason because the deformed spirit of enlargement is a much greater issue.

“Bulgaria isn’t the only reason. It is unfortunate because the deformed spirit of enlargement is a much greater reason. Bulgaria is the most obvious manifestation of this. It’s a shame that one NATO member state takes hostage 2 NATO member states, at a time when in Europe’s courtyard there’s an all-out war,” – continued Rama.
