During his visit to the Netherlands, PM Edi Rama held a discussion with Dutch businessmen who have invested in Albania, during which he said that an important underground discovery of gas and oil reserves has taken place in Albania.
This according to the Albanian PM, won’t be beneficial only for Albania but for other countries as well.
Rama brought to the attention the fact that the big Dutch oil company, SHELL, is actively operating in our country. In addition, he noted that SHELL was the company that discovered a large gas and oil reserve which will be playing an important role in Europe’s energetic future.
“We have the pleasure and privilege to have SHELL operating in our country. We are very hopeful and soon we will be able to share with our public as well as the region and beyond, the news about a very important discovery made by SHELL. They hesitate to speak numbers for now, but the signs indicate that we could be close to a really important discovery of oil and gas reserves in our country that will not only influence our future greatly but in certain circumstances it will also play an important role in Europe’s energetic future,” – said Rama.
