Prime Minister Edi Rama gave a summary of the outcomes of the Tirana Summit during a press conference with the Prime Minister of Denmark, who will host the next European Political Community summit in Copenhagen.

He emphasized that 54 leaders, both EU members and non-members, gathered at the summit to engage in an important and open discussion about a new Europe and a new world—also the main theme of this summit.

“I’m pleased to highlight that, from the very beginning of this summit today in Tirana, we witnessed a renewed commitment to our continent and our citizens. Now, we must firmly uphold the values and principles that guide our societies, doing everything possible to defend these values and principles—those embodied in our societies—by protecting our countries, our citizens, and Europe’s future,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister added that they agreed to form a collaborative team under the care of the President of the European Council.

“We decided to create a collaborative team under the care of the President of the European Council. This is a broad summary of what we accomplished, while also acknowledging that we represent a market of 600 million people—an extraordinary market with massive potential,” Rama concluded.
