The number of road accidents has decreased this year.

From January to November 1.479 people were involved in road accidents. Compared to last year in the same period, there are 14% fewer wounded and killed.

The Institute of Statistics has processed the data collected by the State Police, where the decrease in the number of accidents from year to year is noticeable.

In total, 1.060 road accidents occurred during that period, or 15% less than the period last year.

Regarding the number of accidents, 182 accidents were committed by drivers under the age of 25, while 267 of the accidents were committed by people aged 25-34.

Over the age of 60, 101 accidents occurred, while 48 people left the scene after the accident. Drivers remain the main causes, while the largest number of collisions was recorded in Tirana and Lezhë, while in Shkodër and Dibër Districts this year there was a low number of accidents and injuries.
