Salaries in the Armed Forces have undergone a significant increase this year. With the fund given to the Ministry of Defense, the military and auxiliary personnel in the Albanian army today receive up to 50% higher monthly benefits.

Special Forces, Commandos, divers, search and rescue teams, Military Police, even doctors and nurses who serve in uniform, will benefit from 18 to 40 thousand lek above the current salary.

The categories listed by the Ministry of Defense affect about 6,000 thousand effective personnel, and for cyber units and flying personnel, the monthly allowance reaches from 70 to 100 thousand ALL above the salary.

As a result of the government’s decision, 2,500 employees will receive a salary increase for the first time.

The increase in salaries in the army responds to the need to strengthen the defense at the level of 2% of the Gross Domestic Product, at the request of NATO and the current world situation, where a number of countries are directly or indirectly involved in the war.
