The former PM Sali Berisha, during his interview on ‘Ilva Now’ declared that the leader of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama harbors a pathological hate for the northern part of the country.

In order to illustrate this, Berisha brought up the argument of low investments in northern cities as well as the lack of representation in government.

“He harbors hate for the North, he is sick. None of his high officials is from the north except for a former Minister of Health,” said Berisha.

The former leader of the Democratic Party added that the government led by Rama has offered very few investments in the north of the country, seeing that in “Shkoder and all of the north, he has only invested the same as 2/3rds of the total investment on the tiles of Skanderbeg Square”.

Berisha also mentioned some of the investments to the infrastructure of the Vermoshi road, Hani Hotit, etc. which he said were projects completed during his administration.

Regarding the airport of Kukes, Berisha said that the runway was an existing one since the war of Kosovo, but because of an agreement signed by Fatos Nano with the concessionary of Rinas, no other airport in the country was allowed to operate.

When asked by journalist Ilva Tare, why he has decided to remain distant during this campaign, Berisha answered that he has done the same thing in 2017.

“I have done the same thing in the campaign of 2017, because the campaign only has one leader and everyone without exception is placed in his function and support,” said the former PM.
