Deputy Ervin Salianji has left the Democratic Party headquarters to go to the Police Directorate, where he surrendered to Tirana police officers.

In front of the Police Directorate, Salianji was received with ovations by many supporters, who congratulated him for his courage and encouraged him to be strong and not to give up.

In a communication to the media from the DP headquarters, he described his punishment as political while emphasizing that the democrats are better than Rama, as he said they sacrifice personal freedom to tell the truth.

The Court of Appeal decided a day ago to uphold the sentence of 1 year in prison to MP Ervin Salianji on the charge of “False accusation”, in a short statement to the media he informed that the decision for the defendants of the “Babale” case was made with complete unanimity.
