From April 26 to 28, the Opera “Samsoni and Dalila” will be staged at the National Theatre.
A work done by the composer Camille Saint-Saëns, a book by Ferdinand Lemaire, which comes to the Albanian stage for the first time.
“Samson and Delilah” was written at the beginning of the Franco-Prussian war. The work takes you back in time, inside the temples of the Philistines, with scenes of monumental symbolic language and completely unique costumes.
The opera will bring another perspective between the love of Samson, the courageous leader of the Jews, and Delilah, the priestess of the god Dagon. This work comes in collaboration between TKOB and the Metz Opera in France.
A return back in time for the protagonists themselves. Actor Armando Likaj confessed his emotions for Euronews Albania.
“It is an absolute premiere for our theater, it is a show that requires great commitment. The director’s concept has rather affected the phenomenon of the event that takes place, but has not shown either time or place, also has given importance to the relationships between the characters”, said Armando Likaj
The mexo-soprano Vikena Kamenica plays again on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, it is an excitement for the audience.
She was also the protagonist in 2018, on the stage of the Metz Opera in France.
