The District School Board in Korca, has officially dismissed the principal of an elementary school in Stropcke village, Pogradec. Adriatik Haxhillari is being accused of sexually harassing two 14-year-old girls that were students in the school he directed.
Until all investigations can be finalized, Haxhillari will remain on a suspended leave.
Meanwhile, the defendant is expected to show up before court tomorrow, in order to be served his security measure, 3 days after he was taken into custody by the local police.
According to the young students, the sexual misconduct against them had begun around 2 weeks ago.
Another important detail in the case is the brother of one of the students suffering the alleged abuse, who after discovering the text messages in his sister’s cellphone, confronted the 59-year-old, after which they were caught up in a physical altercation.
After this incident, the families of the two minors pressed charges against the school principal at the District School Board.
