The Special Appellate Collegium (KPA) dismissed the judge as well as a former member of KPA, Luan Daci after presenting him with the final verdict that sentenced him to 6 months behind bars.
GJKKO’s appellate court had decided to uphold the decision made by the First Instance Court in regards to KLA’s judge.
Last year on December 1, Luan Daci was sentenced to 6 months in prison – a decision which was converted to 1 year of probation. He was accused of forging official documents, used to hide the fact that he had been dismissed from the High Justice Court in 1997, for breaking the law and incompetence.
This offense, according to the law on the status of judges and prosecutors, impedes the applicant from becoming part of a Special Appellate Collegium.
