The Serbian far-right group – ‘Serbian Right’ – has announced that they are planning to stage a protest in northern Kosovo sometime in the month of November, to show their support for the ethnic Serb community living in the area.

The Alliance for Peace and Freedom – an international grouping of notorious far-right parties, that include the French National Front and the Greek Golden Dawn – is also expected to join this demonstration.

The news of the rally was announced by Misa Vacic, head of the ‘Serbian Right’, during an interview for ‘Free Europe Radio’.

Vacic has expressed his views in favor of holding a manifestation in support of the Serbian community living in northern Kosovo, on another occasion as well, during the Summit of International Right-Wing Groups that took place on September 26, in Belgrade.

In recent years, many have criticized the Serbian president, Alexandar Vucic, and accused him of using radical far-right groups in the country to shut down the opposition.

In an investigative piece published a few months ago, by renowned British paper ‘The Times’, it said that based on official records, more than a thousand phone calls had been exchanged between political figures in Serbia, that included president Vucic, his brother, and the chief of police, speaking directly to Misa Vacic.
