At noon today, Kosovo Serbs started a protest in North Mitrovica.

Serbian women who have worked in Kosovo’s institutions and have resigned are taking part in the protest.

This is the first protest that ethnic Serbs in the north of Kosovo are organizing after the decision of the Kosovo government on the license plate issue.

It is expected that there will be protests from other areas as well, where officials of the institutions will participate.

So far the protest has been peaceful. In the meantime, there is a higher presence of the Kosovo Police in order to maintain order.
