Several road axes across the country will be blocked from May 31 – June 4, due to the 70th Cyclists Tour being held in Albania.
The police have announced that based on the measure taken so far, there will be road closures in the following cities: Tirana, Elbasan, Korca, Gjirokaster and Fier.
The itinerary will be as follows:
On May 31, at the national road Tirana-Korca, starting from 12:00 from the Mother Theresa square in Tirana.
On June 1, Korca – Elbasan, starting from 12:00, from the city of Korca
On June 2, Elbasan – Belsh – Vlora, starting from 12:00, from the city of Elbasan
On June 3, Vlora – Levan – Gjirokaster, starting from 12:00, from the city of Vlora.
On June 4, Gjirokaster – Vlore – Fier, starting from 10:00, from the city of Gjirokaster.
The State Police have asked for the public’s understanding including motorists, who are asked to limit their movement during these timestamps.
In addition, heavy-tonnage trucks will also be restricted in order to provide maximum security for cyclists during this activity.
