The Socialist Party (PS) concluded its campaign for the May 11 elections this Friday with a rally at the Olympic Park in Tirana.

During his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama urged citizens to vote for a European future for Albania, expressing confidence that PS will secure at least 78 seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

“Mathematically, we will rise even higher—with no less than 78 seats,” Rama stated.

He emphasized that the Socialist Party was the force that rebuilt Tirana from ruins, claiming it will win up to 20 mandates in the capital.

“Beloved Tirana, precious Albania, Albanians of all backgrounds, faiths, and ideas—wherever you are—brothers and sisters of progress, friends and comrades from Tirana,

The Socialist Party of Albania pulled Tirana out of the rubble and gave it new life.

Now, we are at the peak of another four-year journey—rising, climbing, toward the summit where Albania belongs: in the united Europe,” Rama said.

He highlighted the symbolism of May 9, Europe Day, saying it was no coincidence that this was the date chosen to deliver PS’s final campaign message:

“I don’t believe in coincidences, and it is not a coincidence that we are here today, on Europe Day, to speak the final word of this journey—
and soon, to write together with the overwhelming majority of Albanians in the ballot boxes, to sign our great agreement:

For our European Albania. For Albania in the European Union.”
