Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that criminal proceedings should be launched against Prime Minister Edi Rama if it ends up being verified that he traveled by charter for personal reasons and not to represent the country.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Spahiu emphasized that the trips made by the prime minister and other ministers should be made transparent for the Albanian public.
“Rama cannot ignore the Albanian opposition, he cannot hide behind recent accusations to not respond to Berisha. I think that the transparency of expenses for the transportation of the prime minister and his ministers is a must and should be carried out.
I have a question, Rama made these trips to go to the beach or to represent Albania? If he went to the beach with a charter with his wife and family, criminal proceedings should be launched against him,” he said.
