The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) is reviewing circa 20 lawsuits filed for electoral offenses.
Sources near the Special Prosecution confirmed for Euronews Albania that various political subjects, as well as the Presidency, are behind the pressed charges.
According to the same source, it has been learned that the prosecution has already logged criminal procedures for some of the allegations and has launched an investigation on electoral crimes offenses.
In the upcoming days, the Special Prosecution will release an official announcement in connection to the matter.
