The Special Prosecution is asking for a 20-month prison sentence against the former chair of the Albania Radio and Television, Thoma Gellci.

During the hearing session, the prosecutor of the case Doloresa Musabelliu read out all procedural violations from a tender to purchase new devices for the Agro Channel,

The former chair will benefit from an abbreviated trial and if found guilty he will only stay in prison for 1/3 of the actual sentence.

SPAK filed an indictment on charges related to abuse of office.

Thoma Gellci, together with another 3 officials from the Procurement Evaluation Committee, was arrested three months ago over faulty procedures with a procuring procedure worth 86 million Albania Lek.
