The State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi called on political parties to show self-restraint as according to him nobody knows who the election winner is.
In a Facebook status, Celibashi affirmed that only after the votes are counted there will be an official winner.
“I am calling on political subjects to follow the process calmly as nobody knows who won the elections. We must wait for all the ballots to be counted to understand who is the winner of the April 25 elections”, he said.
According to him, any early proclamation made by parties will harm the counting process.
He said that leaders must show self-restraint in order for counting staff to carry out their duty in all righteousness.
