Shaip Kamberi said that there’s still hope to secure a seat at the Serbian Parliament with 1% of the ballots still being counted.
The leader of the Coalition of United Albanians blamed the inactivation of home addresses as the reason behind the discouraging election result but also pointed to migration factors triggered by discrimination.
“We did not go to the elections with a single list due to the political concept we wanted to follow after the elections”, said among other things Kamberi in an interview for Euronews Albania.
Another reason listed by Kamberi is the fact that an Albanian party did not enter the race at all, and a ballot center in Presevo was canceled.
However, he said to remain hopeful about securing a seat at the Serbian Parliament.
