Protesters gathered on Tuesday for a seventh consecutive day in front of the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana calling on the government to lower the price of oil as well as basic food products.
Students have reportedly joined the protest too after boycotting afternoon classes, calling on the government to slash university tariffs.

Protest organizers warned that rallies will continue until all their demands are met.
Their main requests are axing taxes on oil, abolition of excise duty, and the approval of the national living wage law.
