This Friday marks the celebration of Summer Day, and political figures have not missed the opportunity to extend their best wishes.
Through social media posts, President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, and opposition leader Sali Berisha sent their greetings to the Albanian people.
President Bajram Begaj wished citizens a happy Summer Day, a traditional festival with ancient roots in Elbasan, marking the arrival of spring.
Accompanied by a photo featuring the traditional ballokume sweets, Begaj shared his greetings with all Albanians.
“Happy Summer Day! With this basket prepared by the housewives of Elbasan, the Albanian capital of this celebration!” wrote Begaj.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a video on Facebook to extend his wishes to all Albanians.
“Happy Summer Day!” Rama wrote, alongside a video montage from the city of Elbasan.
On the other hand, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha posted a photo of himself in Elbasan from past celebrations. He also announced that he would be in the city again today, where, besides joining the festivities, he would also participate in several political activities.
