Today, at 19:00, a protest has been announced for the death of the 7-year-old girl in Himare.

The protest will be held in front of the Ministry of Interior. The rally has been announced on social media, while opposition politicians have also confirmed their attendance at this event.

A 7-year-old girl died at noon on August 2 in Himare, while resting with her family on Potami beach.

The minor was hit to death while on the shore, by a speedboat driven by citizen Arjan Tase.

Arjan Tase, former head of the police station of Himara, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.

In his testimony, Tase explained that the dinghy he was driving started to gain speed unexpectedly and made an involuntary 360-degree turn, before eventually hitting the minor who died immediately at the scene from injuries she suffered during the accident.
