The high representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said at the summit that is taking place today in Tirana that serious talks should start to take place between Kosovo and Serbia on the issue of dialogue.
In addition, he underlined for Euronews Albania that the proposal for the solution has already reached Belgrade and Prishtina, and now it’s time for both parties to really engage in the dialogue process.
“This is an important day for the Western Balkans. Now we must really engage in dialogue, the proposals made in support of France and Germany, the last version of the text, was sent yesterday to Belgrade and today to Prishtina. Serious talks should start to take place because this is a very big opportunity. In terms of protection, we will provide support. 10 million euros will be given for mine clearance and demining. The important thing is not to simply set a date but actually start the work”, said Borrell.
