“It is time to bring impunity to an end”, declared Albanian prime minister Edi Rama during a meeting with police officers, where he revealed the 2022 budget in this sector.
The head of the government stressed that thanks to satellites and intelligent drones, the police will be more in control of what happens across the country’s territory.
“Satellites will make it impossible, not only to plant entire parcels but even cultivating at a distance beyond 70 cm, which the satellite cannot get a clear view. The police will have on a daily basis what is happening across Albania in real-time”, Rama said.
According to him, intelligent drones will be at the disposal of the State Police in order to detect cannabis parcels as well as identify the people involved.
Rama also mentioned constructions without a permit, where he said that any construction that has violations is considered an illegal construction.
“The entire building is illegal, and for that, the person who is responsible must be taken in front of the justice. This is required by the new law”, he added.
The head of the Albanian government also reiterated that it is imperative to enhance the quality of the Security Academy.
