The Special Appellate College (KPA) ruled on Wednesday to discharge Tirana Chief Prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj.
The public commissioner previously requested her dismissal based on recommendations from the international monitoring organ.
According to the commissioner, Imeraj encountered problems in three evaluation categories, wealth, cleanliness of the figure, and professionalism.
A few moments before the announcement, Imeraj said she trusted the justice system.
The country’s largest prosecution office now remains with a vacant post.
On March 26, the High Prosecutorial Council unanimously voted the appointment of Imeraj as the chief prosecutor near the First Instance Court in Tirana, which carries a three-year mandate.
