The Democratic Party’s political chair for the Diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, held a press conference alongside the DP’s representative at the Central Election Commission (CEC), Franc Nuri.

Topalli called on the CEC to request that DHL comply with the legal terms of its contract in order to ensure that the voting rights of citizens abroad are not violated.

“I urge the CEC to demand that DHL fulfill their legal and logistical obligations. Violating the deadlines and standards set by law is a serious infringement on the voting rights of Albanians living outside Albania’s borders. This would severely undermine the integrity of these elections,” she stated.

Topalli also expressed her gratitude to every Albanian who is voting, emphasizing that such action contributes to overthrowing the current regime.

“I express my gratitude to Albanians who are voting in large numbers and making sacrifices by going to the offices even though they’re not required to. With their vote, we will bring down the regime.

Two key factors will drive major change: the Diaspora and women.

We view positively the voting that is taking place abroad, as Albanians are casting their vote in a powerful and historic act of justice, to reverse the expulsion they have suffered,” said Jozefina Topalli.
