United States and Albania deepen cooperation in education, with a focus on cybersecurity

The Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, met today with Albania’s Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of education.

In a post by the U.S. Embassy, it is emphasized that the United States is committed to the development of new curricula in Albania, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity and criminology. According to the embassy, these programs aim to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries around shared objectives.

“Today, Chargé d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn discussed with Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro the many ways in which the U.S. Embassy can share American excellence and expertise with Albania,” the statement reads.

The embassy underlines that from long-term partnerships with the Peace Corps and the Security Academy to new academic programs, U.S. engagement continues to grow in order to deepen U.S.–Albania cooperation.
